Write Up 1

Hey I've been off work for a week and a half due to the fires so I thought I'd stop putting off the write up. Write ups may be more inconsistent this year, but I'll still try to provide some content as much as I can. This week I'm just going to take a general look at everyone's squad.

1. RimmyTinTin: This team is the real deal. Through 5 weeks RTT is at the top of the league in large part due to how stacked his team is. LeBron, Vucevic, Westbrook, Gordon, Conley, Klay Ibaka, McGee, Whiteside and even Derrick Rose (what year is it?) are putting up 7th round value or better. It's simply not fair at this point. There may be some unsustainable value amongst some of those guys, but if things keep on going as they are, we'll all be chasing RTT.
Best draft pick so far:RTT has a couple but I'd have to say JaVale McGee. With his 10th round pick, JaVale is putting up 2nd round value (largely due to his blocks, but still impressive).
Bust of the draft so far: Not so much a bust, but just an under performer I'd say Klay Thompson. He was drafted in the 3rd round but is putting up 7th round value. He should pick it up eventually.

2. Goin Harden Da Paint: The second place squad is seeing success from the usual suspects with Harden, Lowry and Covington all putting up 3rd round value or better. Then we have Danilo putting up 4th round value, and Bazemore has also been a pleasant surprise with approximately 6th round value. Trae Young has been intriguing but has a lot of flaws for fantasy purposes as a rookie. As long as GHDP doesn't mind he'll keep taking those assists and points.
Best draft pick so far: lol definitely Danilo Gallinari. He was picked in the 12th round, but is putting up 4th round value. I'd say this value is definitely accurate and he'll probably finish top 10 this year /s
Bust of the draft so far: Picked in the 8th round, Eric Gordon is currently not even on the radar.

3. Oubre Pool is Better: His first round selection of Kawhi Leonard has paid off so far. He was able to snag him and Kyrie in the early rounds. After losing his first 3 weeks in a row, he has turned it around with 2 consecutive wins.
Best draft pick so far: With his 11th pick, OPIB took Danny Green who is currently returning mid-round value. Hopefully Danny G can keep it rolling up North.
Bust of the draft so far: LaMarcus was drafted in the 4th round but is unfortunately putting up approximately 10th round value. LMA should turn it around eventually.

4. Deez Pauls N Yo Mouf: DPNYM has been alternating wins and losses since week 1. Still, it's good enough for 4th place thus far. He made a big trade sending his rookies Doncic, Bagley and veteran CP3 for Gobert and Middleton. Seems to be paying off.
Best draft pick so far: I'd have to give this to Buddy Hield. Although he was drafted in the 7th round, he's currently producing 5th round value in Sac Town. He's looking like the player New Orleans wished they kept.
Bust of the draft so far: Jamal Murray I'm looking at you. Drafted in the 3rd round, he's struggling with 8th round value. He's too good to do this for the whole season, but Monte Morris hopes so.

5. Ariza Con Pollo: After starting the year off with a loss, ACP has won 3 out of the last 4 weeks. Largely this is due to his number 1 overall player Anthony Davis. He traded KD and Ayton to get him but it seems to be worth it. He also was able to pull of a Rubio and Oubre trade for Blake Griffin, who is putting up top-40 value. For reference Rubio is putting up 11th round value. Now that's what I call highway robbery.
Best draft pick so far: Brook Lopez was drafted in the 9th round and is putting up 4th round value. His value is heavily tied to his 3 pointers and blocks.
Bust of the draft so far: More of a disappointment than a bust, but I gotta give it to my guy Donny Mitchell. He was drafted in the 2nd round but is putting up approximately 9th round value. I'm not concerned though, he'll turn it around.

6. A Slice Called Quest: Already surpassing his wins from last year, ASCQ is out of the cellar and breathing fresh air. Largely thanks to Giannis and Mirotic. No trades so far for Slice but the year is young.
Best draft pick so far: I would pick Mirotic, but Slice drafted Montrezl in the 12th round and he's putting up 3rd round value. Talk about super value. He's the new Manimal.
Bust of the draft so far: It's a close one between Draymond and Myles Turner, but I'm gonna have to go with Draymond. He's much better than this but there seems to be trouble in paradise in the Bay Area. Stay tuned.

7. Bonzi Whales: Leading the way for the bottom half of the league is Bonzi. His two big men, Embiid and Jokic, are leading the way for him. He started off losing the first two weeks in a row, but has won 3 strait since.
Best draft pick so far: There isn't a clear cut emergent player here, but I'd give it to Wendell Carter Jr. who was drafted in the 8th round but is putting up about 6th round value. This is pretty great for a rookie so I'd hope it continues.
Bust of the draft so far: Lonzo you suck. Drafted in the 4th round (ouch) he's putting up approximately 13th round value. Hopefully Rondo's injury will open the door a bit for Lonzo.

8. My Doncic: Doncic had the second pick in the draft, Anthony Davis, who he flipped to bring aboard Kevin Durant and Ayton. He also swapped Gobert and Middleton for Bagley, Doncic and CP3. The moves haven't provided any noticeable improvement as he is 2-3 throughout 5 weeks so far.
Best draft pick so far: Most of Doncic's originally drafted players have been traded, Kanter who was drafted in the 7th is putting up 6th round value. Not a huge improvement but not bad.
Bust of the draft so far:  Not really a drafted bust here so far, but Bagley is struggling to put up top 200 value. Although, he may be getting the starting job soon for the Kings which would help tremendously.

9. Team Spitshine: TS is 3-2 so far this year but still finds himself in 9th place. He's got a handful of players providing 7th round value or better but it isn't translating to big wins on the scoreboard.
Best draft pick so far: De'Aaron Fox got no respect this offseason but he's proving it this year. Fox was drafted in the 10th round but is putting up approximately 7th round value. He is the star (fox) of the Kings and will continue to produce.
Bust of the draft so far: There isn't really a bust on this team. Maybe Jaylen Brown? (drafted 12th round putting up 26th round value) but I don't think Spitshine is really counting on Brown to help his team anyway.

10. Consider the Knicks: It's been a rough year with only one winning week so far. After a slow start, KAT and Jimmy are picking it up. Injuries to Dunn, LeVert, and Isaac have also stagnated any progress for CTK.
Best draft pick so far: It would have been Caris LeVert if he hadn't gotten hurt. I guess we can go with Josh Richardson who was drafted in the 5th round and is putting up 4th round value and hovers are 3rd round value.
Bust of the draft so far: Biggest disappointments have been Kris Dunn who was drafted 6th round and got hurt in his first game, and Johnathan Isaac who also got hurt and is having a slow time getting up to speed.

11. "Sean Astin" Gay: SAG currently has one winning week, one tie and three losses. Kemba has been playing out of his mind but it hasn't been enough. He should probably trade off all his assets and start over.
Best draft pick so far: I think I still have to give this award to Kemba, who was drafted in the second round but is putting up top-8 value on the season. Michael Jordan needs to get that man some help.
Bust of the draft so far: There's a few nominees here, McCollum (drafted 3rd, putting up 7th round) Hayward (drafted 6th putting up 13th round), and Love who was drafted 4th and got hurt. Really take your pick, it's been a rough season so far for Sean Astin.

12. Noctural Sunuva Gun: He has two winning weeks, but also has 3 blowout losses that have hurt him and sent him to the cellar. He made a controversial trade, sending off Blake Griffin who's putting up 3rd round value for 11th round value Rubio. I know I know, he does special specific things for your team. Oubre is hardly worth mentioning as being apart of this trade as he was dropped shortly after.
Best draft pick so far: Nobody is really playing above their draft position on this team, but I will mention I'm pleasantly surprised with Jrue Holiday who is having an all-star caliber year. I felt he was overrated this offseason but he's proving us all wrong.
Bust of the draft so far: Biggest disappointment has to be Goran Dragic. He was drafted in the 7th round and is putting up 16th round value. He's been on a steady decline for a few years now unfortunately.

That's it for now guys. Have a good Thanksgiving, even though there's no basketball on Thursday so we will have to suffer through a Detroit Lions football game and the Cowboys. What a wasted opportunity to drink, eat and watch basketball all day. Also, don't waste your time considering the Knicks this year, it's all about considering the Kings in 2019! What a time to be alive!
